The Exchange Building, 132 Commercial Road, London E1
The Exchange Building is a historical development with a rich history and a prime location. The building was constructed in 1936 on the former Royal Cambridge Music Hall site and was originally designed as a telephone exchange. The building was later extended by W. Gilbee Scott and BWH Scott in the 1920s and was adorned with faience facings in 1927.
In 1989, The Exchange Building underwent a conversion, transforming it into one of the earliest converted warehouses in Spitalfields. The building now boasts a variety of high-end, luxurious apartments, each offering stunning city views and exceptional brightness. The apartments have modern kitchens, separate utility rooms, private terraces, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Residents benefit from a range of amenities, including secure underground parking, bike storage, and a 24-hour concierge service.
The Exchange Building is a stone's throw away from some of the city's most exciting shops and boutiques, including the world-famous Spitalfields Market. And if you're looking for a night out on the town, there's no shortage of high-end restaurants, trendy bars, and cosy coffee shops to choose from.
In fact, some of Shoreditch's most popular streets and venues are located right on the doorstep. Take a stroll down Redchurch Street to find the likes of Shoreditch House, Boundary Hotel and rooftop, Cecconi's, and The Albion cafe. Explore the local area further, and there are plenty of other attractions within easy walking distance, including Boxpark, Brick Lane, Columbia Road flower market, Spitalfields City Farm, Haggerston Park, and Broadway Market.
The building's prime location, at the Shoreditch end of Commercial Street on the city's edge, provides residents with the best of both worlds - a peaceful residential neighbourhood and easy access to the city's hustle and bustle.
