Shoreditch: What’s New, What’s Worth It, and Where to Head Next

Published: 14/08/2025

Shoreditch keeps changing FAST. New bars, restaurants, and hangouts seem to open every week. And while some are just noise, others are quietly brilliant. That’s where we come in.

Our Shoreditch sales & lettings team have pulled together a self-guided walking tour that covers everything from brunch spots to late-night cocktails, with a few detours for tattoos, natural wine, and good music. No Tube needed. Just stroll, stop, and take it all in.

Here’s the latest we definitely think are worth checking out:

🥐 1. Kricket (Charlotte Road)
All-day cafe, bar, and private dining
Tucked into the old Apothecary East space, Kricket's new Shoreditch spot is where you can start slow and settle in. Coffee in the morning, cocktails and small plates later. Easy choice.
📍 Charlotte Road
Mood: Mumbai meets mid-century modern

🍸 2. Little Fires (Bethnal Green Road)
Mezcal bar meets listening lounge
A low-lit mezcal spot with Oaxacan plates and a proper sound system. Feels like a place you stumble into and end up staying all night.
📍 Bethnal Green Road
Mood: Mezcal, music, and mellow lighting

🍷 3. Oranj (Dray Walk, off Brick Lane)
Natural wine bar
Once a pop-up, now a fixture. Oranj does low-intervention wine with the kind of calm energy you want on a Friday night.
📍 Dray Walk, Brick Lane
Mood: Orange wine, warm glow

🍷 4. Clara’s (Bethnal Green Road)
Deli by day, wine bistro by night
Espresso and pastries at lunch. Later, it's candlelight and bistro plates with a short-but-excellent wine list. From the ex-Artusi chef - so yes, it’s good.
📍 17 Bethnal Green Road
Mood: Low-key Euro vibes

🍽️ 5. Nest 2.0 + Nest Cellar Bar (Near Shoreditch Town Hall)
Tasting menu upstairs, cocktails downstairs
Nest has grown up. The new space is elegant but unfussy, with a focus on seasonal dishes and thoughtful drinks. The cellar bar is a quiet gem.
📍 Near Shoreditch Town Hall
Mood: Slow, considered, candlelit

🖋️ In the Mood for a Tattoo?
A few spots worth the commitment:
  • Cloak & Dagger (Cheshire Street) - Skilled artists, clean lines, no nonsense.
  • Shall Adore Tattoo (Kingsland Road) - A bit edgier, great design eye, flash sheets with personality.

✂️ Need a Trim?
Not brand new, but solid every time:
  • Ruffians at Old Street Records - Quality cuts, sometimes with a drink.
  • Murdock London – Sharp, classic, and well-lit.

Shoreditch is shifting - less flash, more focus. You’ll see spots doubling as cafes by day and wine bars by night. Menus rooted in real places, not just trends. And thanks to the Summer Streets programme, evenings often spill out onto the pavements: fairy lights, heaters, martinis under the stars.

Thinking of making Shoreditch home? Swing by our Circa London Sales & Lettings office at 59 Great Eastern Street - we’re always around and happy to help you get a feel for the neighbourhood.
